Season 4 of The Ariza Inspire Podcast is all about stories. Stories of people's mental health journeys and the lessons they learned along the way. This week, I sat down with Taylor Moran to discuss her mental health journey.
Taylor Moran is the Associate Director of Prevention Academy, where she leads strategic prevention initiatives focused on empowering students through education, advocacy, and community engagement. Passionate about prevention as an upstream public health approach, Taylor works to create inclusive, strengths-based programming that supports mental well-being, addresses substance use, and equips young people with the tools to make informed, healthy choices.
Drawing from both lived experience and clinical training, Taylor brings a holistic, trauma-informed perspective to her work. She recently completed her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a concentration in Addiction Counseling, and her professional background spans recovery support, collegiate recovery, and prevention education.
Taylor is deeply committed to challenging stigma, amplifying underrepresented voices, and helping students recognize their own strength and potential. She believes that through connection, compassion, and honest conversation, lasting change can happen both within individuals and across communities.
